I started my run this morning at 5:30.  It was fairly windy and the temperature outside was 90 degrees.  When I finished it was 93.  I kept a good pace for the first 5 miles, but as soon as the uphill started and I had a headwind, my time started to slow.  The last few miles were in the 8:30 range.  I am trying to not get too frustrated with this because it is really hot and I am runnig uphill into a headwind.  I'm hoping that by the end of the summer I can chop off 30 seconds because I am so use to the heat.

You will heat adapt and then running in cooler weather will be super easy. I just saw your boys at my house during lunch. They were swimming and seemed to be having a lot of fun.
