| My little girl had a cross country meet in Riverside so I got up at 5 to take her to the meet. I got home from the meet around 11 so I decided on a 4 mile run around 11:30. It was warm but nothing compared to Havasu at 7AM in the morning.

| I enjoyed a 6.25 mile run this morning. The weather was great and my legs felt good. I am going to try to up my miles to hit about 35 this week. I think that is where I will spend most of my weeks.
After the run I did yard work and followed that up with a core workout. It was a good way to start my Labor Day!

| I ate so much bad food for Labor Day I almost didn't run. I decided my day would be better if I just hit the road. I was glad I did. Legs felt good and it was nice to get out and run.

| I had a good run this morning. Couldn't go far because of my 7AM class. I didn't go too hard, just where my body felt good. I wanted to run to the track but the high school cross country team that my girl is part of was practicing at 5AM this morning so I will have to do it tomorrow. I have developed a pretty good routine with school. I have a lot of times I feel too overwhelmed to run, but those are the times I push myself to run because I know I need it the most. My health is much more important than a good grade on a test!

| I had a 7AM seminar to attend and a test at 8 so I did a quick 3.25 mile run. I needed to get a little speedwork in so this was the perfect time to do it.

| I decided not run officially run the trails this morning but instead a ran on the dirt next to a road that was a lot like a trail. It was 10 miles but it was a tough run. I ran to the temple this morning which is almost exactly 4 miles from our house. I thew on a little before and a little after to get the 10 miles. To get to the temple I have to run down a hill/mountain that is a 6% grade and really tough. My legs were really tired after the downhill run when I got to the temple. I rested at the temple for a few minutes and just had a peaceful moment there, and then started up the hill. It was a tough uphill battle in the heat (it was about 80 by this time) but I made it through. It was only 10 miles, but it felt like 15 and took me a little over 1 1/2 hours to finish. It was a great way to start the day!!!

| It's finals week in school and I have a lot of projects to get finished up and turned in so it will not be a heavy running week for me.

| Finished my classes so I have about a week to study and do what I want to do. Started off the week with a nice 6 mile run this morning. I think I will do 10 tomorrow to finish out the week.
My usual sleep routine was messed up this week and my eating pattern was not normal so I was a little worried how I would feel but I felt pretty good. It's always good to get out and run!

| 10 miles on the road. I am trying to get my legs back to normal but they were pretty tired after the 10 miles. I'm hoping for about 40 miles next week because I don't have official classes and can be at the school by 8-9 every day next week.

| I decided I didn't want to run really early in the morning and I also didn't want to battle hills today so I waited unitl 12 to run. I think I wanted to remember what it was like to run in the heat. I went and watched surgeries and then went to the workout center at the school and ran on the trail they have. Each loop is about .5 miles. It was flat so I was able to actually run with a little speed. It felt good to run in the heat, but I'm glad I don't have to do it every day.

| My little girl had a cross country meet this morning and the meet was exactly 10 miles from my house. The only issue is that it is a grueling uphill run and it would be around 8:30 before I could start. I decided I was up for the challange so I cheered her on and then started my own run and let me wife drive the car home. I stopped at the temple to eat some fruit snacks because I could tell my energy levels were getting low. It was a smart move because I don't know that I would have made it up the crazy 1.4 mile (6% grade) hill without it. I had just enough water and just enough energy to make it through the run. I had a solid week. Next week I have to travel to Dallas for a conference so I will be doing a lot of TM runs.
